We’ve all had quite busy summers and so you may have noticed a slow-down in our programming, but don’t worry! We are working hard to put together all sorts of fun things for the fall and winter.

In August, stop by for an Open Studio day or join us for one of our meetups (see the calendar below) and be sure to check out our new Zine Library too! Please note that during our All Ages Open Studio, children and young teens are welcome to visit with an adult chaperone (GUILD is normally ages 16+).

As a completely volunteer run space, we are doing our best to maintain a balance between keeping the space open and accessible as much as possible and not overextending ourselves in the process.

Speaking of: we are hosting a CLEAN THE STUDIO DAY! Please join us this Saturday, August 1st, after Open Studio from 1 - 3pm to clean and organize the studio.

Valentine’s Craft Rave and Fundraiser at Jerico

Drop in for a night of dancing, sipping lattes, and helping a local organization we love. Free crafting supplies will be provided by Guild. Bring a project you’ve been working on, or start a new one! Music provided by DJ Bart Sparkle. Delicious drinks will be available for purchase from Fiddle Leaf Cafe.

This is a community fundraiser for Care Collective of Southwest Michigan. By providing barrier-free access to diapers, baby wipes, and menstrual products to families and young people, Care Collective supports multigenerational well-being. A majority of each ticket sold will be donated to this amazing, local non-profit.

*This event is for adults 18+.

*This event is alcohol-free.

Join Us! Friday, January 30th, if you are able to participate in the general strike, we are offering our space as a FREE opportunity to connect with your community and put your efforts towards something that speaks out.

Use your time and skills to make a statement. We have a few projects that we will be offering with some supplies available. We encourage you to bring something you’re already working on, start something new, or bring your skills to the event and help someone else get their project started.

We are so much stronger when we come together!

As I pawed (err… clawed) my way through 2025, watching Guild’s founders, and so many other furbulous volunteers, bring Kzoo’s new creative gathery + den of crafty mischief to life…

I can say, with purrfect certainty, from my hiding spot among the fabric scraps, just how jaw-dropped, teary-eyed, thankful they are that you’ve chosen to come along on this soul-fueling endeavor.

Please continue showing up to Guild exactly as you are, and don’t hesitate to toss a “HEY JERI” my way whenever you’re looking for a familiar face.

1. Our 1st Open Studio Hours are TODAY, Tuesday, December 2nd from 5-8pm!

Open Studio Hours provide visitor ages 16+ the opportunity to come and create, using the tools and materials at Guild. The use of the space and the materials are FREE! Come with a plan or just come and play. Every Tuesday from 5-8pm! (we will be closed Dec. 23rd).

2. Our 1st Meet-up Event is this Sunday, December 7th from 2-4pm!

Reusable Gift Wrapping: Join us as we create reusable gift wrap for the holidays based on the traditional Japanese wrapping cloths known as Furoshiki. We have tons of fabric to share, but if you have holiday-themed fabric, old clothing, linens, or scarves or anything else you’d like to bring to use yourself or to share with others, feel free to bring that as well! We are currently low on fabric scissors and rotary cutters, so if you have some to use or to donate to the space, please bring them. We’ll also play with ways of making ribbons and bows and anything else folks want to try!

3. You’re invited to Set the Tone for 2026 with Collage Crew Kzoo!

Let’s explore our intentions for the new year through the art of mixed-media collage –– with an emphasis on color!

Also, it’s not that serious: If you prefer to go rogue and create a vision board concept all your own, that’s totally fine and encouraged too!

Come As You Are:

All supplies provided at no cost. That said, if you have extra glue sticks, scissors, magazines, books, etc. to donate to the space, feel free to bring them!

Bring a friend, or two also!

4. We are tripling our Open Studio Hours in January!

Regular open studio hours provide visitors ages 16+ with the opportunity to come and create, using Guild’s free tools, supplies and materials. Come with a plan or just come and play!

January Open Studio Hours: Tuesdays 5-8pm, Fridays 10a-1pm, Saturdays 10a-1pm

5. CALL FOR DONATIONS: We need your help with our first big expense!

Our liability insurance is due Jan. 1st and we still need $400 to cover it.
