🚃 Catch a FREE trolley ride to Friday night’s Open Studio (9/4)
The Arts Council has scheduled 3 trolleys to run during Kalamazoo’s September Art Hop through Downtown, Vine, Northside, and Edison — and Jerico is one of the stops!
Once you arrive, explore the other Jerico studios and join us at Guild for ALL AGES Open Studio from 5–8 PM. Get creative with our free art supplies and tools, and make whatever you like. Visitors under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
✨ Volunteers Needed — Drop In Tuesday Night (9/8)!
Join fellow Guild community members for our monthly studio deep-clean!
On Tuesday night, September 8th, let’s work together to reset the studio! We can certainly use all the help we can get to tidy, vacuum, clean tables and chairs, organize excess materials, etc. Drop-in whenever you’re available from 5pm to 8pm!
EVENT SIGN-UP LINKS
🎨 Expressive Arts Therapy Group (Sunday, 9/20)
Sign-up Here (Required) | FREE, Ages 16+, no prior experience with therapy needed
Creativity is a basic human need, and creative expression can help regulate the nervous system while connecting us to ourselves and others. Join intern counselor Bree Bird in exploring how creativity and expression can support mental health and well-being.
Together, we’ll explore mental health and well-being through expressive arts, using drawing, painting, sewing, building, collage, singing, dancing, writing, and other forms of creative expression that may arise. A mix of facilitated exercises and personal freedom of expression will be used.
Fermentation Workshop (Sunday, 9/27)
Sign-up Here (Required) | This class is part of a FREE workshop series led by Sara Rio (@sarario_ceramics) exploring the art and science of fermentation. Participants will dive into fermentation techniques using fresh vegetables while learning through guided, practical experience.
All tools, supplies and vegetables provided. This program is funded by a grant through the Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo (@acgkalamazoo).
